KANCHANPUR, June 14:  Telecommunication services in Shuklaphanta Municipality-10, Jhalari Bazar area have been disrupted for four days. The telecom and internet service have been disrupted due to an issue in the optical fiber. In absence of a proper network, there have been issues in call services in GSM mobile phones.

KATHMANDU, Jan 18: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has sought to hike the fee for its infrastructure being used by the internet service providers (ISPs), which is likely to take upward the cost of internet use in the country.

KATHMANDU, Jan 1: The Optical Fibre Backbone Network Expansion Project has become sluggish. Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA) had initiated the project with the goal of expanding the optical fibre network within two years but the project has made only 22 percent progress in 18 months.

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: Nepal Telecom (NT) has started optical fiber installation work in 20 districts of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces as well as Banke and Bardiya of Province 5, targeting to improve Internet services in the region.
