IBN board okays PDA with NepWaste

KATHMANDU, July 19: Investment Board Nepal (IBN) has approved Project Development Agreement (PDA) document to be signed with NepWaste -- a Nepal-Finland joint venture company -- for implementation of Integrated Solid Waste Management of Kathmandu Valley Package 1.

KATHMANDU, June 17: The government has approved the draft of the memorandum of understanding on the establishment of a mechanism to facilitate the programs and projects in Nepal with support from the People's Republic of China.

Cabinet okays Rs 51.38b US grant

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: The government has decided to accept a grant assistance of Rs 51.38 billion (US$ 500 million) from Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) for road maintenance and transmission line projects.

KATHMANDU, July 18: Despite a public outcry, the government has given its consent to the Election Commission (EC) to spend Rs 140 million for purchasing five luxury vehicles  for the election commissioners. The Ministry of Finance has mandated the election body to  purchase the SUVs (sports utility vehicles) as capital expenditure and report  to the ministry later.

Cabinet okays RBB, NIDC merger proposal
