KATHMANDU, April 25: China has expedited the detailed feasibility study of the much-talked-about Kathmandu-Kerung inland railway. A technical team that came from China on December 27 has already visited Rasuwa and Nuwakot and started a detailed study.

KATHMANDU, August 28: The Trishuli Hospital in Nuwakot has started producing energy from the waste generated by the hospital. The bio-degradable waste from the hospital has been used to produce energy (methane gas) through a biogas plant.
KATHMANDU, June 11: The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has incurred an average loss of Rs six million after a mentally unstable man climbed on the overhead high electrical line in Nuwakot. According to NEA, it has to bear such a loss as the Upper Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project had to shut down after this incident.

NUWAKOT, Dec 17: The bodies of 18 passengers of Sisipu, Nuwakot who died in Friday's mini-truck accident in the district were cremated together as per family customs on Sunday. Altogether 20 passengers died in the accident.
