KATHMANDU, Dec 9: The European Union (EU) has declined to remove Nepali airlines from its prohibition order lists, preventing them from operating in European airspace stating that they still fail to meet the international safety standards.

KATHMANDU, August 16: Airlines that have been flying empty to UAE to bring passengers to Nepal since last Monday will now be able to carry passengers from Nepal as well. Although the UAE allowed the entrance for passengers from Nepal no one was able to leave on national aircraft as the COVID Rapid PCR test facility was not available at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

KATHMANDU, Dec 22: The European Union (EU) has decided to continue its ban on Nepali airlines through a recent update in the EU Air Safety List, although the Himalayan country has been making efforts to get delisted from the EU blacklist for a long time.

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has requested European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to lobby for lifting the ban on Nepali airlines from flying to European Union (EU) nations, at the 56th Directors General of Civil Aviation, Asia and Pacific Regions (DGCA) conference that concluded in Kathmandu last week.
