KATHMANDU, September 15: China, which had unilaterally closed the border crossing under the pretext of COVID, is going to allow cargo containers stopped in transit to come to Nepal. China has closed the Tatopani and Rasuwagadhi crossings - two major trade points between the two countries - since last month.

RASUWA, Jan 28: Border authorities of Nepal and China have decided to close the Rasuwagadhi border point for 15 days starting Thursday to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Nepal and China have agreed to hand over each other’s citizens illegally crossing the international border to the authorities concerned in their respective countries within seven days of being detained.

SINDHUPALCHOWK, April 28: The government has expedited preparations to bring back into operation the Tatopani border point between Nepal and China that remains closed for the last four years following the devastating earthquake of 2015 in May. According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the border point is going to be reopened as soon as the dry port at Larcha, Tatopani, is handed over to the Nepal government.
