KATHMANDU, August 21: The government is to honor the mountaineers who set records by climbing all 14 tallest peaks of the world including Mount Everest.

Climbers summit virgin Gyalchen peak

SINDHUPALCHOWK, April 10: A group of three mountaineers have climbed the 6,151 meter Gyalchen peak of Jugal mountain range, which is the nearest Himalayan peak from the capital city Kathmandu, on Tuesday. This is the first summit by any person in the virgin ‘Jugal Himal’.

KATHMANDU, June 2: A freelance rescue pilot in the Mount Everest has said the world’s tallest mountain is losing its dignity due to heavy traffic of mountaineers in the recent years. Maurizio Folini, an Italian citizen who has been working in Nepal as rescue pilot in every climbing season for the last seven years, said that anyone without experience in scaling mountains should not be allowed to scale Mount Everest (8848m).
