Mountaineering: 824 climbers take permission to scale various peaks this spring season

KATHMANDU, April 30: Eight hundred and twenty-four climbers belonging to 100 mountaineering expedition teams have taken permission to climb 27 mountain peaks, including Sagarmatha (Mt Everest), the world's highest peak, in this Spring climbing season, the Department of Tourism has stated.
75 teams so far get climbing permits for spring season

KATHMANDU, April 14: As of Friday, a total of 75 expedition teams have been granted mountain climbing permits for this spring. The Department of Tourism has so far collected royalty over Rs 450 million through the permits, Department’s director general Danduraj Ghimire said.
