BAGLUNG, Sept 27: In the wake of the Dashain festival, the traders have brought Chyangras - mountain goats - from Mustang. The markets in Baglung, Parbat and the vicinity witnessed the arrival of mountain goats.

GALKOT, Oct 10: After walking for eight days, trader Ram Bahadur Khatri came to Baglung from Mustang with 25 mountain goats. This is the first time in decades he imported mountain goats from Mustang to Baglung.

SINDHUPALCHOWK, Sept 30: Sheep and mountain goats from Tatopani, a major border point of the north, have started entering Nepal for Dashain and Tihar festivals. The sheep were transported to Nepal from Tibet as soon as the border opened after a week’s shutdown. A total of 1,100 sheep and mountain goats were brought to Tatopani in a day on Friday.

MYAGDI, Sept 22: Pashupati Silwal, a trader from Kathmandu, reached Upper Mustang for fetching sheep and mountain goats for Dashain, the great festival of Nepalis that is just round the corner.

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: The National Food Corporation (NFC) has fixed the prices for live goats and mountain goats at Rs 710 and Rs 510 per kg respectively.
