KATHMANDU, Feb 11: The chasm of mistrust in the ruling coalition led by the Maoist center is deepening as the presidential election date is fast approaching. A meeting of the high-level political mechanism led by UML President KP Oli was held at the Prime Minister's Residence, Baluwatar, on Friday morning.

There were 229,068 cases of measles and 136,000 deaths from the highly contagious disease worldwide in 2018, up 48 per cent from 2017, according to the World Health Organisation.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26: As the formation of the new government gets delayed over the National Assembly ordinance row and the unity process becomes uncertain,  mistrust between the CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center), which had forged an electoral alliance with an understanding to subsequently unify the two leftist parties, has deepened in recent days.
