KATHMANDU, June 13: The general public from all quarters have demanded the release of stand-up comedian Pranesh Gautam, who was recently arrested for posting a 'foul-mouthed' critique of the movie Bir Bikram 2 on Youtube.

KATHMANDU, June 10: Meme Nepal, a popular Nepali social media page, has been courting criticism from various quarters for the past few weeks after two of its comedians were arrested.

Two members of Meme Nepal— a popular meme page were taken into police custody on Friday. They were arrested after a case was filed against them for their review of Nepali film ‘Bir Bikram 2’.

Popular meme page, ‘meme Nepal’ was sued for their review on ‘Bir Bikram 2’ in their official YouTube channel. The review was posted on May 22.
