KATHMANDU, March 28: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has decided to provide training to over 14,000 masons and engineers and deploy them to retrofit partially-damaged houses in all 31 earthquake-hit districts.

DHADING, Jan 2: Donning bright yellow helmets on their heads, gloves around their hands and gumboots around their feet, a large number of women in Dhading are found working as masons these days.

KATHMANDU, Jan 30: Top officials at the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) have said that the NRA's failure to hold trainings for masons and produce new masons while at the same time carrying out surveys for identifying the earthquake victims has led to a serious shortage of masons in the 14 worst quake-affected districts, further delaying the overall task of reconstruction.

KATHMANDU, Jan 20: The National Reconstruction Authority (NRA) has said the Nepal Army (NA) and Armed Police Force (APF) have agreed to deploy their technical manpower to provide masonry training for building earthquake resilient houses in the earthquake-affected districts.
