KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The benchmark index opened Thursday’s session higher in the pre-opening session, but the index gave up most of its earlier gains within first trading hours. Nonetheless, the equity market maintained its footing in green throughout the latter trading hours. At the close, Nepse settled at 2,636.68 – up 25.83 points against the session earlier.

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: The second trading week of January began on a high note with the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index trading in green throughout the session. After climbing more than 30 points in the beginning trading hour, the index pulled back slightly at mid-day. The index advanced further in the latter trading hours with Nepse closing at 2,235.73– up 41.24 against Thursday’s close.

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: Nepse, the equity market’s benchmark, traded in green in the opening hour of Wednesday’s trading session. The index climbed more than 20 points at mid-day but pared some of its earlier gains in the afternoon. Thereafter, the stock market hovered in green throughout the latter trading hours finally closing with a gain of 13.07 points. Nepse ended Wednesday’s session at a new closing high at 2,178.57.

KATHMANDU, Jan 5: The local equity market opened Monday’s session firmly higher with most of the companies extending previous day gains. However, the benchmark Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index gave up some of its earlier advance within the first trading hour. Though the index traded in positive territory for most of the afternoon, selling pressure in the final minutes pushed the index in red. At the close Nepse ended at 2,169.04 – down 6.36 points against Sunday’s close.

Dec 30: The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index opened Tuesday’s session in green and saw strength in the beginning hours of the trading session. The benchmark climbed more than 24 points at mid-session but bears prevailed in the latter half of the session. A steady decline in the afternoon saw the index give up most of the earlier gains to close session at 2,012.89 – up5.57 points against the session earlier.

KATHMANDU: Local equities opened the day's session on a flat note as the index remained unchanged in the initial trading. The index shed more than 9 points by mid-day.
