Before the implementation of federalism, he used to frequent the headquarters for official work. And most often than not, the process of completing the work would be full of hassles and time-consuming.
RAJBIRAJ, Aug 28: Five rural municipalities of Saptari district are likely to lose federal grants after failing to hold their respective council meetings and unveil budget as required by the Local Government Operation Act 2017.
OKHALDHUNGA, Aug 3: The house of Lal Prasad Ghimire of Khijitaki village of Khijidemba Rural Municipality–4, Okhaldhunga suffered huge damage in the devastating 2015 earthquake. Although the house was inhabitable, his name was not included in the list of eligible housing grant recipients in the first survey conducted by the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA). In the last four years, he complained about it on several occasions with the local authorities. He did not know whether his name was included on the list.
KATHMANDU, July 3: Over 400,000 applications were received at the Public Service Commission (PSC) for 9,161 vacancies at 515 various local units across the country until a few hours before the final deadline.
KATHMANDU, July 1: The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) had made it mandatory for local units across the country to unveil the budget before June 25. However, around 118 local units are yet to do so despite missing their deadline.
