KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Nepal Police chief Sarbendra Khanal has said that he is ready to give up his uniform if any lapses are found on his part during the investigation into the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta of Kanchanpur.

KATHMANDU, Oct 8: A report of the high-level committee formed to look into the investigation of the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta has found serious “lapses” and “negligence” on part of the police in dealing with the case and booking the perpetrators on time.

KATHMANDU, May 12: Growing cases of poll-related violence in the backdrop of the local elections has exposed lapses in the ‘integrated polls security plan’ of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

“If there were more cases of domestic violence and sexual assault against men piling up at our offices, the court would have no choice but to work on building stronger laws.”

DHARAN, Sept 16: Three motorbikes parked in the premises of BP Koirala Memorial Hospital of Dharan were found burnt on Friday morning. One of the motorbikes was burnt almost to ashes.
