KATHMANDU, May 12: The construction of the outer ring road project, which was initiated by the government to connect the three districts of Kathmandu Valley with the road network, has become uncertain. Even after more than two decades since the discussion of the outer ring road started, the government has not yet taken any decision to forward the project.

KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The land acquisition process has been set into motion in Makwanpur, marking a significant step in the realization of an electricity transmission line initiative led by the Millenium Challenge Account Nepal (MCA-Nepal). This endeavor falls under the broader framework of the Millennium Challenge Compact (MCC) grant project sponsored by the United States.

KATHMANDU, July 3: The process of land acquisition for the construction of 400 KV transmission line towers for the 900 MW Arun III Hydroelectric Project has commenced.

NAWALPARASI EAST, Nov 5: Construction of the 132 kV Arunkhola (Dumkibas) Sub-station project has begun. Land acquisition for the project that lies at Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi East has been completed, according to the Project Chief Ranjan Nath Gurung.

KATHMANDU, March 23: With the ratification of the US aid project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact from the House of Representatives, the process of clearing the land acquired for the construction of a substation in Nuwakot has been started under the MCC compact agreement.

POKHARA, Dec 14: After making progress in the construction of Pokhara Regional International Airport, authorities are now grappling with the locals' protests over land acquisition, which is set to create some roadblocks for the project if not delay it.

BARA, April 15: Construction of the Postal Highway, which connects 20 districts of the Tarai belt, has failed to gain much momentum due to delays in land acquisition. The two-lane road has suffered delay at many blocks including Manmat – Kalaiya – Matiarwa. According to concerned officials, locals are not cooperating in the land acquisition process.
