KATHMANDU, Aug 18: The land acquisition process has been set into motion in Makwanpur, marking a significant step in the realization of an electricity transmission line initiative led by the Millenium Challenge Account Nepal (MCA-Nepal). This endeavor falls under the broader framework of the Millennium Challenge Compact (MCC) grant project sponsored by the United States.

KATHMANDU, July 3: The process of land acquisition for the construction of 400 KV transmission line towers for the 900 MW Arun III Hydroelectric Project has commenced.

NAWALPARASI EAST, Nov 5: Construction of the 132 kV Arunkhola (Dumkibas) Sub-station project has begun. Land acquisition for the project that lies at Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi East has been completed, according to the Project Chief Ranjan Nath Gurung.

BARA, April 15: Construction of the Postal Highway, which connects 20 districts of the Tarai belt, has failed to gain much momentum due to delays in land acquisition. The two-lane road has suffered delay at many blocks including Manmat – Kalaiya – Matiarwa. According to concerned officials, locals are not cooperating in the land acquisition process.
