KAPILVASTU, July 22: Fursat Ali Dhuniya, 75, a farmer of Bhagwanpur village, planted paddy in three bighas of his farm three weeks ago. Due to incessant rainfall in the area and inundation by a nearby river in the area, the farm is now mostly submerged. He dreads that his family’s efforts and investment is going to go waste.

BIRGUNJ, July 2: The first rainfall at Birgunj has flooded main city area and other parts of the districts, including Ranighat, Tripur, Panityanki, Nagwa, Bhisuwa, Ramgadawa, Birta, Chapkaiya and Adarshanagar.

DAMAK, June 24: Incessant rainfall on Friday evening and Saturday morning has submerged the city area of Damak yet again. Lack of proper management of rain water in Damak often results in inundation.

LAHAN, Sept 21: Lahan bazaar has been inundated due to heavy rainfall since early morning. The market area has been inundated owing to the worn-out drainage system in the town. The water has entered the office buildings and inner settlement of the town.

KATHMANDU, Sept 12: Major roads in Kathmandu Valley are waterlogged after incessant rainfall since Sunday afternoon.

POKHARA, July 26: A flood in the Seti River caused by heavy rainfall since Monday evening swept away a woman, besides inundating over three dozens of houses.

BABIYACHAUR (MYAGDI), June 12: A flash flood which struck on Saturday night at Beni Bazaar caused damages to more than a hundred houses and retail shops while forcing the residents to stay awake all night.  The flood cascading from a higher ground above the settlement at 11 pm inundated the houses in Campus Chowk and Mangal Ghat. The flood laden with slush and stones broke into the houses.
