TAPLEJUNG, July 16: Sixty-four households at Odak of Maiwakhola Rural Municipality-4 in Taplejung are to be evacuated to safety.  The settlement has been facing a constant risk of floods and landslides for two weeks due to monsoon rains.

ITAHARI, Jan 10: With the increasing trend of wild elephants from the surrounding Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve causing damage in the human settlement, elephant deaths are also increasing.

BAGLUNG, Jan 4: A leopard which strayed into a human settlement has been captured. The wild beast had entered Kanle village, Kushmishera of Jaimini Municipality-1 in the district on Sunday morning, terrorizing the villagers.
