KATHMANDU, June 25: Even three years after the 2015 earthquakes, many victims in the Kathmandu Valley remain deprived of the housing grant of Rs 300,000 due to the “National Reconstruction Authority’s inaction” in resolving the land ownership disputes.

According to the announcement, they were to receive grants on par with the earthquake victims. But not a single flood victim has received the grant so far.

MAKWANPUR, April 30: In Province 3's 13 districts, which are among the most affected ones by the devastating 2015 Gorkha earthquake, only 364,476 beneficiaries of housing reconstruction grant have started rebuilding their houses. The initiation named 'Nepal Housing Reconstruction Project' will benefit over 23 thousand families in the district affected by the 2015 April earthquake. They will receive administrative, technical and social support under the project to rebuild the house.
