It has been as we feared. The authorities delegated to conduct screening of passengers entering Nepal at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) failed to screen the passengers coming to Nepal from China on Monday. The passengers on board the Himalaya Airlines flight, which landed at TIA on Monday, were not screened. It has been learnt that there were no health officials present at the health desk set up there.
BEIJING, Feb 3: Five Nepali students who were returning home to Nepal have been held at Beijing airports Friday on suspicion of coronavirus infection. The students were flying to Nepal from two airports in Beijing. Amid alarming coronavirus updates, this is the second time Nepalis were barred from flying out of China. Earlier, Chinese authorities had barred one Nepali student from returning home from Wuhan, the epicenter if coronavirus, on suspicion of being infected.
KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office (TIA CAO) has asked Himalaya Airlines to clear all pending dues, stating that failure to do so would lead to grounding of all its aircraft.
KATHMANDU, Oct 24: Himalaya Airlines, an international air carrier of Nepal, has started direct flights to Chongqing from Kathmandu. The inaugural flight last Friday also marked the first air connectivity of Kathmandu with this Chinese city.
