KATHMANDU, May 29: Nepal national cricket team’s vice-captain Gyanendra Malla has been appointed as brand ambassador of eSewa, an online payment service provider. The one-year agreement was signed by president of F1 Soft International (promoter of eSewa) Bishwas Dhakal and cricketer Malla in Kathmandu on Monday.
KATHMANDU, May 26: National cricket team captain Paras Khadka, who also heads the Armed Police Force team, is likely to miss the second edition of revamped Inter-provincial Prime Minister Cup (PM Cup) scheduled to start on Sunday in Kirtipur. Similarly, his deputy for both the teams, Gyanendra Malla will also be unavailable for the 50-over-tournament due to injury.
DAMAK, March 19: Himalaya Mahalaxmi Tea Garden based in Damak Municipality, which is owned by Gyanendra Shah, has not paid tax worth over Rs 40 million. Shah has not paid the tax even after he was stripped of all his kingly power and reduced to a common citizen.
