KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Nepal has clinched four gold and two bronze medals at the Chemnitz Open Karate Championship held in Germany. Nepal's Mandey Kazi Shrestha won two gold medals. He won gold in male senior single kata and in a competition in the above 30 years age group. Shrestha had also bagged two gold medals in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).
KATHMANDU, April 25: Departmental team Armed Police Force Club (APF) secured its second gold medal in cricket after the men’s team defeated Nepal Police Club by 32 runs in the final match played at Kohalpur Cricket Ground in Banke on Wednesday. APF’s women's team had won the gold medal in cricket on Tuesday.
DANG, April 19: The departmental team Nepal Police Club’s Chandrakala Lamgade has improved her own record in women’s shot put as she won the gold medal. She improved her record by throwing the iron ball to 12.04 meters to win the gold. Her previous record was 11.46 centimeters at the National Sports Council (NSC) Championship.

KATHMANDU, March 27: Athlete Ajit Yadav is set to receive Rs 60,000 as monthly salary, as announced by Nepal Athletics Association at an event held in Kathmandu on Tuesday. Yadav has won historic gold medal for Nepal in Asian-level athletics championship.
