He won gold in male senior single kata and in a competition in the above 30 years age group. Shrestha had also bagged two gold medals in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

She improved her record by throwing the iron ball to 12.04 meters to win the gold. Her previous record was 11.46 centimeters at the National Sports Council (NSC) Championship.
