SEOUL, April 5: Firefighters by Friday morning had extinguished large parts of a forest fire burning in the mountainous South Korean region that hosted the 2018 Winter Olympics. It has destroyed 120 homes, forced thousands to flee, and killed one person, with another dying because of a falling object in the high winds fanning the flames.
April 2: 30 firefighters and locals have died battling a forest fire in a mountainous region of western China’s Sichuan province. The firefighters were engulfed by a “huge fireball,” Chinese state media reported.

BIRGUNJ, Dec 21: A massive fire erupted at Super Gas Industry in the outskirts of Birgunj on Wednesday, killing two firefighters who had reached the incident site early in the morning. Two others were severely injured in the incident.
