JAJARKOT, June 28: Sixty-four schools of Chedaghad Municipality of Jajarkot district have implemented a new system hoping to encourage 6,504 students to attend schools regularly.

KATHMANDU, June 15: The decision to postpone the second phase of the local level elections in Province 2 will weaken national unity and boost the morale of separatists, the main opposition CPN-UML said on Thursday as it criticized the government's last-minute decision to defer the polls in Province 2.

KATHMANDU, June 4: In a good move that is expected to promote foreign investment, investments worth up to Rs 5 billion will be approved from the Department of Industry.  A Cabinet meeting on Friday passed a Bill related to foreign investment that was stuck for long in the Parliament. The Bill has been amended to integrate laws related to foreign investment.

BEIJING, May 12: Chinese foreign policy experts have said that Nepal's decision to be part of China's ambitious One Belt One Road (OBOR) initiative will eventually encourage reluctant India to be part of the OBOR in the future.

KATHMANDU, Dec 9: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Thursday announced a $20-million grant aimed at triggering increased private sector interest and investment in utility-scale solar projects in Nepal.

PALPA, Nov 12: Investment in hotel and hospitality business has increased in the recent years. Hoteliers say that a total of Rs 1 billion has been invested in different hotels in district headquarter and of which few are under construction.  The occupancy of the hotels in the city has increased fivefold in the three years from 200 to 1000, according to Palpa Chamber of Commerce and Industries (PCCI). District's hotel industry has so far been received an investment of Rs 3 billion, they said. The district has received more tourists both domestic and foreigners in the recent years and this has boosted confidence of hoteliers.
