KANCHANPUR, Feb 1: An early warning system has been installed in Doda (Macheli) river in Kanchanpur. The flood warning device (radar level sensor) has been installed at a cost of one million rupees with the technical support from the  Mahakali Basin Field Office under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.

KATHMANDU, Jan 11: Ncell in collaboration with the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has further strengthened the communication for the Early Warning System (EWS) by expanding the coverage in both hydrological and meteorological disasters. On Wednesday, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed to this effect.

BANKE, August 7: Local governments of Banke district have seen the installation of censors for disaster risk reduction. The censor-enabled early warning system has been placed at Kohalpur and Baijanath of Banke district.
