WALING, July 29: A total of 461 cases of divorce have been registered in the District Court, Syangja, in the last fiscal year, the court officials said. Of them, 371 cases were finalized while 90 cases are in process, registrar in the District Court Bishow Prasad Regmi shared.

6 men file for divorce in Okhaldhunga

OKHALDHUNGA, Sept 30: Six men in Okhadhunga have filed applications at the District Court seeking divorce after amendment in the civil code, which allows even the men to file application for divorce at courts. Section 94 and 96 of the Muluki Civil Code enforced about a month ago allows men to file cases for divorce directly at the court. Previously, men had to file cases for divorce at the local level first in order to register the cases at the court.
