KATHMANDU, Aug 5: The cabinet decision to appoint ambassadors to India and Malaysia has become uncertain following dilly-dallying by the Prime Minister's Office in writing to parliament for confirmation hearings. Even three weeks after the cabinet decision, the government has yet to write to the Parliamentary Hearings Committee for the hearings.
KATHMANDU, Feb 27: Even as the government has fixed May 14 as the poll date, the Election Commission (EC) is yet to begin ‘actual preparations’ for the local elections thanks to the government’s dillydallying in forging consensus among political parties. The EC also lacks crucial documents required for conducting elections.
