CHITWAN, Dec 19: The Dhurmus Suntali Foundation, a social organisation established by comedians Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, which has taken the charge of the construction of Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium, has started selling fruits, nuts, bottled water and readymade snacks in a bid to collect funds to support the project.

Actor duo Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, AKA Dhurmus-Suntali, is debuting as a producer via the movie ‘Senti-Virus’.

KATHMANDU, July 25: The Dhurmus Suntali Foundation has finally chosen Bharatpur to construct its proposed international cricket stadium. The foundation made the announcement in a statement released through its official Facebook page on Tuesday.

Sitaram Kattel, better known for his comedy character ‘Dhurmus’, is busy these days inside the premises of Bir Hospital, Kathmandu. His foundation, the Dhurumus Suntali Foundation, has piloted a campaign of cleaning the hospital. The campaign was commenced with permission from the Ministry of Health.

Sitaram Kattel a.k.a. Dhurmus is a popular Nepali comedian, actor and director. He was one of the main characters of the popular Nepali TV series ‘Meri Bassai’. He has also presently established himself as a social worker and is one of the founders of Dhurmus-Suntali Foundation which has recently constructed 67 houses for the earthquake victims in Sindhupalchowk.

After one and half year of the disaster, 66 families in Giranchaur were finally able to move into their new residences on Friday.

Ajay Shrestha, CEO of BoK, presented a check for Rs 500,000 to Sitaram Kattel of 'Dhurmus Suntali Foundation' amidst a program held at the bank. According to a statement issued by the bank, the foundation is headed by popular comedian couple Sitaram Kattel and Kunjana Ghimire, who are engaged in different social initiatives after the earthquakes of 2015.
