CHITWAN, Sept 2: A person died due to dengue infection in Chitwan.

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) has reported that the dengue infection that has spread in various parts of the country may take a violent form. Dr Gokarna Dahal, the chief of the Vector Borne Disease Section at EDCD, said the number of infected people has now exceeded 5,000 and two more months are favorable for the infection. Therefore, Dahal urged the people to remain vigilant.

KATHMANDU, July 16: The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD) has pointed out that there is a risk of the dengue infection spreading along with Zika virus and Chikungunya once the rains across the country subside. Dr Gokarna Dahal, head of the EDCD, said that there is a risk of the Zika virus, which has appeared in various parts of India, spreading to Nepal as well.
