ITAHARI, July 4: Sunsari district has been formally declared an open defecation-free (ODF) district.  With this, Sunsari has become the 56th district to be declared as the ODF district.

BAJURA, April 29: Rajali, the part of Badimalika-3 in Bajura district (Province 7) is to be declared the zone free from chhaugoth (makeshift hut meant for the shelter of menstruating women and new mothers).

RASUWA, Feb 13: As per the 'Literate Nepal' mission launched in 2012, the government has now declared 43 districts of the country as literate zones in terms of adult literacy. Among those districts, the latest addition is Rasuwa, which was declared as literate zone on Monday.
