KATHMANDU, July 20:The newly-elected local representatives and other stakeholders have opposed some of the provisions in some local-level related bills currently in parliament for curtailing the constitutional rights of the local government.

KATHMANDU, April 11: Experts and opposition leaders have slammed the new constitution amendment bill for its proposal of removing chairperson and vice-chairperson of rural municipalities as well as mayor and deputy mayor of municipalities from the Electoral College to elect the National Assembly members.
