DARCHULA, July 15: A suspension bridge connecting Nepal and India in Mahakali Municipality-9 in Darchula district has suffered damages resulting in difficulties in cross-border movement of people.

KATHMANDU, April 13: Amid fears of spread of COVID-19 in Nepal, the government has deployed 6000 Armed Police Force (APF) personnel to stop the flow of people entering Nepal from India. Indian authorities have also mobilized Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) to stop cross-border movement.,

KATHMANDU, April 1: Concerned over the further spread of COVID-19 as a result of unabated cross-border movement of migrant workers, Nepal and India have reached an understanding to take care of each other's nationals who are already assembled on no-man's land and effectively control all cross-border movement until the lockdown period is over.

KATHMANDU, March 23: Nepali district authorities have closed border points with India after coronavirus cases and deaths rise in India. The administrations of the districts bordering India temporarily sealed the border points from Sunday morning after thousands of people entered Nepal from coronavirus-affected Indian cities on Saturday. They were alarmed after cases of the deadly virus have been rising in India in recent days.

KATHMANDU, March 22: Nepal LP Gas Association, in an effort to discourage the hoarding of cooking gas, has asked the gas depots to maintain records of their customers who will refill gas cylinders from now onward.
