DHORPATAN, Dec 12: The construction works of the Mid-Hill Highway has fallen into limbo as a contractor who was awarded the contract for blacktopping the Baglung-Akshyate-Ghodabandhe road section, the part of the national pride project, has gone out of contact.

KATHMANDU, June 14: The Federation of Contractors’ Association of Nepal (FCAN) has demanded an extension of the timeline of the projects with the deadline up to last April 29 by a year. The demand came with a note that the provision of extending the project period by six months would in no way be scientific.

RASUWA, April 14: The nationwide lockdown has affected the construction works at Chilime Trishuli 220 KV transmission line due to the lack of workers and construction materials. The project had not been able to import construction materials after the outbreak of the coronavirus in China.

KATHMANDU, Feb 15: The construction works of Khimti-2 Hydroelectric Project and Langtang Khola Hydroelectric Project (HEP) have come to a total halt as Chinese manpower have not returned to work due to the coronavirus outbreak in China.

Gorkha-Barpak road awaits blacktopping

GORKHA, Jan 26: The Bhaluswara Road Project Office had begun procedures to take action against the contractors who were responsible for the construction of the Gorkha-Barpak road, as they were not able to complete the work within the extended deadline. Contracts of four packages were left in limbo by four construction companies and the office was planning to punish them but the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has extended the deadline for the contractors.

Progress of Diktel water project sluggish
