KATHMANDU, Oct 29: Commercial paragliding operations have taken flight at Chandragiri Hill in Kathmandu, thanks to the pioneering efforts of pilot Sanobabu Sunuwar and his company, 'Babu Adventures,' which boasts the distinction of being Nepal's inaugural high-altitude paragliding instructor.

DHULIKHEL, July 16: Commercial paragliding flights have started at Devisthan Danda, a tourist spot located in Dhulikhel Municipality-9 of Kavrepalanchowk.

Earlier in June this year, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), the regulatory body of Nepal’s aviation sector, had asked paragliding entrepreneurs in Pokhara to shift the aerial adventure sport to another place from January 2023, arguing that paragliding and civil flights could not be conducted simultaneously in the same sky.

KATHMANDU, Dec 11: There are 60 paragliding companies operating tandem flights in the sky of Pokhara. Commercial paragliding in this lake city started about two and a half decades ago. Most of those companies fly from Sarangkot and land in Pokhara. Some have also started commercial flights for tourists outside Pokhara.

ITAHARI, Jan 31: After some successful test flight by various paragliding pilots from Pokhara and Dharan, Dharan was first city in province 1 to start commercial paragliding service.

SINDHUPALCHOWK, March 11: Commercial paragliding has begun in Chautara, the district headquarters of Sindhupalchowk.
