KATHMANDU, March 14: Commercial and development banks and financial institutions have lowered their interest rates with effect from Wednesday.

Advertisements are necessary and they are fun to watch too. We all remember that one advertisement that we watched while growing up that stuck with us and kept replaying in our heads all the time. We feel advertisements today have lost that appeal because competition comes before creativity with most advertisers doing anything to glorify their products. SYANGJA, March 30: Nepal Rastra Bank has publicized a directive, asking commercial banks to establish their branches in each local unit by mid-July.

Nepal is taking steps towards agricultural diversification and commercialization which has shown hopes for improvement of country’s economy, decreased unemployment and importation of agricultural products and increased women’s participation in contribution to national economy. But the commercialization has brought a serious threat along with it which is of major concern.

KATHMANDU, Jan 8: Officials at the Department of Archeology (DoA) have taken strong exception to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO)'s nod to the illegal construction of a commercial complex inside the UNESCO World Heritage Site Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square's protected monument zone and demanded apology from the UN agency. DoA officials said the construction violates the existing building bylaws.
