KATHMANDU, April 20: A total of 352 climbers have obtained permission to climb Mount Everest this year.

Growing up in Nepal, fascination with the mountains is a given. Most of us dream about making it to a base camp at least, if not actually climbing a peak. But we seldom act on the thought. However, inspired by the numerous records Nepali mountain climbers have set till date, there are many youngsters who are well on their way of becoming expert climbers.

UHIYA (GORKHA), July 3: The entire village of Uhiya in Dharche Rural Municipality-3 of northern Gorkha does not have any means of telecommunication. Neither Ncell nor NTC cell phones pick up any signal in the settlement. Not just a settlement but an entire ward of the former Uhiya VDC is now inaccessible through telephone communication. The locals have to climb a mountain in search of a proper signal.
