KATHMANDU, Oct 31: Now international chartered flights will take off and land at the newly-constructed Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) decided. Earlier, all international chartered flights took place at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

KATHMANDU, April 5: A total of 780 foreigners have been repatriated in four different chartered flights from Kathmandu on Saturday.

Tourists reluctant to go back home

POKHARA, March 29: The District Administration Office of Mustang district sent 58 foreign tourists to Kathmandu on Saturday. But 10 foreign tourists who came in contact with the government officials in the district declined to go back to Kathmandu. They are currently staying in hotels in the district.

19 airports out of operation

KATHMANDU, March 17: Among the total 49 airports in the country, 19 do not operate regular flight services. With airports stagnant, airfields have transformed into grass fields.
