BHAJANI (KAILALI), SEPTEMBER 4: A census of Dolphins has started from Friday in the Dolphin conservation area of Tikapur Municipality and Bhajani Municipality in the southeastern part of Kailali district.
KATHMANDU, April 11: The rhino population in Nepal has grown up in the last half decade. The number of the endangered species increased by 107 in the last five years in the country. Unveiling the National Rhino Census of 2021, the secretary for the Ministry of Forest and Environment, Dr Bishwanath Oli announced that the number of rhinos inside the country has reached 752. Earlier, the rhino population in Nepal was 647.
KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) has announced as many as 47,000 vacancies for the positions of 39,000 enumerators and 8,000 supervisors on contract to conduct the upcoming Population and Housing Census 2021.
KATHMANDU, Oct 21: In its attempt to make the 2021 national population census more scientific and accurate, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) will not be using the sampling method. Instead, the enumerators will be visiting all households across the country to collect census data. As a result, the census will be much costlier than the previous ones due to a huge manpower requirement.

DOLPA, May 3: A fresh census of snow leopard has begun in Dolpa. According to Shey-Phoksundo National Park of Dolpa, the census is taking place with financial support from the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF).

The census will be conducted by counting all enterprises and economic activities across the country, said Suman Raj Aryal, director general of CBS. MAHENDRANAGAR, Feb 13: The count of tiger population has started in Shuklaphanta National Park (SNP) of Kanchanpur district through 'camera trapping' method. According to Gopal Bahadur Ghimire, chief conservation officer and information officer of SNP, a two-day training was held before the officially launch of the tiger census in the national park. He informed that the census will be taken in Shuklaphanta-Laljhadi-Jogbudha corridor which is considered as the buffer zone.
NAWALPARASI, Jan 13: The counting of tigers in the community forests of Nawalparasi (east) has been initiated. The counting was forwarded in the community forests with the installation of camera trapping technology with the joint efforts of National Trust of Nature Conservation (NTNC), National Park, Hariyo Ban and other organizations.
CHITWAN, Nov 30: The census of rare Royal Bengal tiger will start today in both Nepal and India simultaneously. The same camera trapping method will be used in the census wherein cameras traps are laid along the tiger's path wherein to capture their images as they move, said the Department of National Park and Wildlife Conservation.
CHITWAN, Oct 2: Nepal and India are going to conduct a joint head count of tigers in the national parks, forests and sanctuaries in Nepal and those in India adjoining Nepal using the same camera tapping method.
