KATHMANDU, July 30: Dalit community leaders have demanded stern action against the culprits in a case of caste-based discrimination in Bajhang.

Nepal is a country with a rich history and culture. But unfortunately, it is also one that has been plagued by the evils of caste-based discrimination for centuries. Even today the caste system finds continuity in a strong way.

KATHMANDU: A committee formed by the Ministry of Home Affairs to probe the Soti incident of West Rukum has concluded that the six Dalit youths who lost their lives in the incident had been stoned to death.

RUKUM, May 30: Police have said that the youths, who were killed in violence resulting from caste-based discrimination in West Rukum last Saturday, had sustained serious head injuries.
