DHAKA, BANGLADESH, Feb 11: An overcrowded boat carrying about 125 Rohingya refugees from Bangladeshi camps sank early Tuesday in the Bay of Bengal, leaving at least 16 dead, Bangladeshi officials said Tuesday.

The next year, five people died in the same lake after their boat capsized. This Saturday again a boat capsized in the lake killing eight people. The eight were heading to a Teej gathering.
KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Bodies of all the six passengers who had gone missing in a boat capsize at Begnas Lake has been recovered. Yesterday, a boat carrying ten passengers had overturned after it lost balance while rescuing a five year boy, Prachin Paudel.
RAUTAHAT, Aug 27: Locals have accused Pappu Construction for Saturday’s boat capsize in Lalbakaiya River of Rautahat. At least two people were killed and three are missing. Locals said the contractor’s failure to complete the construction of a bridge over the Lalbakaiya River on time forced people to use boat to cross the river so the contractor was also responsible for the accident.
