KATHMANDU, Dec 8: Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Uma Regmi unveiled the statue of Bhrikuti, a national icon of Nepal, at the Bhrikuti Fun Park in the Exhibition Road area, Kathmandu amid a function on Thursday.

Tibet was a good market for Nepali traders and Nepal had good ties with Tibet. With marriage of Nepali princess Bhrikuti with King Tsroang Chong Gympo of Tibet, diplomatic and official relations became cordial. Following that many Nepali merchants and officials also married Tibetan girls. Eventually, Tibet and Nepal had both people-to-people and government-to-government ties.

KATHMANDU, March 24: The youth population of today is more inclined to eat junk food or ready-made fast food. This not only raises a major concern for health, but also threatens the existence of authentic Nepali food as city dwellers have been opting for foreign cuisines.
