Destiny and Destination

September 27, 2022 17:25 pm

Dor Bahadur Bista (the famous Anthropologist) states that eastern approach is rooted firmly in the decline of fatalism (the belief) that one’s destiny is fixed and wholly immutable. “Fate and Free Will” have equal parts of play in every human life; we can achieve nothing until we are able to look ourselves realistically. Accepting what we see in the mental mirror, setting aside the distorted image of ourselves broadcasted by our mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife or peers (friends).

Vote for Best Candidate

September 15, 2022 14:00 pm

In my mind, indeed, the upcoming election will be quite a tough job when it comes to demanding a vote for a particular party or an independent candidate. These days, each political candidate has promised to verbally make into his/her area more prosperous along with developmental activities. After all, winning matters a lot, no matter which party one may belong to. Similarly, an independent candidate does, too.

Portfolio Management

July 26, 2022 16:30 pm

Indeed, ‘portfolio management’ is all about a concept that promotes the idea of diversification. To be honest, let me tell you that the idea of managing your own investments can feel daunting, but no matter how much money you’ve, there is a level of portfolio management right for you. Simply put, however, it can be either passive or active in nature. Most tellingly, on the one hand, passive management is a set-it-and-forget-it long-term strategy that often involves simply tracking a broad market index — commonly referred to as indexing or index investing. On the other hand, active management instead involves a single manager, co-managers or a team of managers who attempt to beat the market return by actively managing a fund’s portfolio through investment decisions based on research, and decisions on individual holdings. Apart from this, the business strategy underpins successful project portfolio management. Here is what I’d like to say: strategy refers to the long-term direction as well as scope of an organization, working towards the goals of growth in the competitive landscape.

Yes, financial freedom matters!

July 17, 2022 16:45 pm

To quote Bill Gates, “If you are born poor it’s not your mistake, but if you die poor, it’s your mistake.” Most tellingly, I often read this quote when I think about financial freedom. First and foremost, let me define the term ‘financial freedom’ — which means having enough savings, financial investments, and cash on hand to afford the kind of life as we desire for ourselves and our families. And, of course, our size of mind is everything when it comes to making wealth in life. In other words, I mean to say that the thinking behavior of a person's mindsets at a time when he/she is thinking for wealth creation. No matter how much financial stress you're in today, there is always a way to achieve financial freedom in the long run.

The Call of the Mountains

July 15, 2022 17:30 pm

You only realize the value of something when you do not have access to it anymore, whether it’s money, good health, or a good friend. For me, that something is the mountains. Growing up in Kathmandu, mountains always surround you from all sides. They greet you every morning, and if you’re an early riser, you may also spot the stunning snow-clad ranges twinkling in the morning sun. Mountains in Kathmandu are so common that you sometimes forget how beautiful they are. You treat them like a parent: you know they’re there, so you take them for granted.

Love Forever

July 11, 2022 18:00 pm

The term love, it is hard to define and difficult to express by words. Frankly speaking, love is the feeling of two souls, where I can see everything possible because of love. In fact, love has a powerful energy which gives us so much humbleness.

Gender Based Violence

There is a saying that goes, “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are.” Why do you think this saying is so prevalent even today? Well, it is because you can tell how a person is by looking at who they surround themselves with and this on a larger spectrum tells us that the people that we surround ourselves with are the environment that we are in which shapes us to be the person that we are.

Inside a book, I found a friend

July 11, 2021 15:30 pm

It was one monsoon evening; I picked up a book and opened it. Inside, I found an unknown friend waiting. Our friendship was a little weird. I would just sit and listen to her and she would share her fables.

Without you

December 22, 2020 18:36 pm

My heart felt very heavy, millions of thoughts were going on in my brain. I was drowned in the dark ocean of my own thoughts. I did what society suggested to me.

My transformational journey

February 12, 2020 08:45 am

In the past, reading, spending time with family, eating, cooking and watching shows was everything for me; however, being a single child of my parents, I am a straightforward introvert.

It had been 6 weeks since I arrived in the United States from Nepal. The year was 2013. I was scouting Brighten Avenue in Boston in search of a job. I was with my friend, Ritesh, who came to the US two months before my arrival.

The tenderness of heart

September 11, 2019 15:15 pm

Gently, like a young romantic, lifting a broken flower, he picked up the puppy, and placed him close to his heart. The eyes of the puppy that were round and wet and honest touched his tender heart.

Do you?

Do you marvel at the mundane everyday things in life? Do you appreciate the warmth that spreads on your entire body when you lay there covered under the quilt?

Dying Sergeant Writes

July 17, 2019 11:30 am

I’m sorry to say that I am not sure what I’m writing. I suppose it’s a story that’s close enough to be read by you and felt by you, just you. The beauty that cannot be seen, that cannot be heard, that cannot be smelt; it can be felt. When you feel this beauty then you’ll see it, you’ll hear it, you’ll smell it, you’ll taste it and finally, you’ll live it.

The Stalkers

July 8, 2019 09:03 am

I now see the world in a way that I never thought I would. In the balcony of a bar, watching the traffic pass by, I had a glass of gin and tonic with some ice and mint in my hand. With every sip, I would inhale a handful of smoke from my e-cigarette.

What we fear

July 2, 2019 11:16 am

Fear is a bar of restriction that limits and protects our lives. What you choose to do has immediate consequences creating the fear that we live by.

The Magic Door

June 25, 2019 11:04 am

It was a lovely morning. The birds were chirping and the sky was a beautiful shade of blue. I was in my house listening to “Back to You”. My cat, Angel, who was crawling on the bed, jumped off and went under it. When she got out, she was wearing a really cute headband which was glittery and had a unicorn horn on it. Then, the most surprising thing happened.

RED Unendurable mendacities

My eyes are running through national dailies with my morning tea. I suddenly stop at an article with amusing fact.

The lady sat on the chair morosely, her eyes were sunken, her face was drawn and haggard, her countenance was tense, and her brows were wrinkled with rage.
