KATHMANDU, Feb 1: The government has formed a committee to study for operating international airports of the country in public private partnership (PPP) model.

KALIKOT, August 7: Though the authorities earlier said that the airports in Karnali would be upgraded, the upgradation work has not been done yet. Talcha in Mugu, Simikot in Humla, Jufal in Dolpa, Kotwada in Kalikot and Jumla Airport were said to be in need of upgrades. The airports in Karnali are becoming unsafe due to lack of upgrading.

SURKHET, May 25: The federal government has announced plans to construct a provincial airport in Surkhet and connect Humla with the national road network of the country for the upcoming fiscal year.
