Snowfall disrupts air services in Humla

SIMKOT, Feb 4: Snowfall has resumed in Humla since this morning, marking the fourth snowfall this year in the district.

KATHMANDU, Oct 3: The Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla has resumed its operations for both airplane and helicopter flights. The airport's chief Umesh Kumar Panthi reported that there were a total of 158 flights and landings in a single day, following the resumption of regular flights from various destinations, including Kathmandu, Phaplu, and Ramechhap.

KATHMANDU, July 28: The Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), the umbrella organization of Nepal's tourism industry, has filed a petition at the Supreme Court against the government’s decision to levy Value Added Tax (VAT) on air services, demanding the withdrawal of the decision.

KARNALI, Dec 11: The local governments of Karnali Province have demanded the federal government to implement online tickets for air services in the region stating that the air passengers in the province were struggling to avail air service.

POKHARA, Nov 6:  The number of air passengers has increased significantly in recent times due to the increasingly difficult road travel, the tourist season and the increasing habit of traveling among domestic guests. According to the Pokhara airport, more than 3,800 passengers received air services from the airport in one day. This is the highest number of passengers flying to and from the Pokhara Airport.

SIMKOT, April 4: Flights towards high hilly districts in Karnali Province have been disrupted for the past few days.

KATHMANDU, Oct 24: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has set airfares to operate air services in the hill districts of the far-west. The corporation has fixed the fare for air services after the road was blocked in the hill districts due to rains.
