KATHMANDU, OCT 29: The Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) is gearing up for its 50th-anniversary celebrations with a series of exciting programs and events, promising to be a milestone in the world of mountain adventure and tourism.

POKHARA, Dec 12: The newly-launched bungee jump spot in Kushma, which has also been claimed as the world’s second-highest spot of this kind, is flooded with domestic tourists as the country is gradually but cautiously trying to resume all tourism-related businesses in recent days.

KATHMANDU, May 18: Twenty-eight vintage cars have recently completed a thrilling trans-Himalayan drive from Chengdu of China to Kathmandu, via Tibet. As part of the Trans-Himalayan Adventure 2019, organized by PureQuest Adventures India in association with Rally Round, the cars crossed the Himalayan range in a 26-day expedition, which concluded on May 10.

KATHMANDU, April 21: The third edition of Himalayan Travel Mart is to be held at Soaltee Crowne Plaza in Kathmandu from June 6 through 9.

The number of people seeking adventure travel has increased significantly over the past few years. From hiking and trekking to mountain climbing, more and more people are enjoying connecting with nature as well as the thrill of adventure. However, many people are yet to master the planning and packing for adventure travel.

Despite the pollution and the social injustices, Nepal is one of the best destinations for the people to travel. As #VisitNepal2020 works are running, promotion to the domestic places are equally going. There are lots of travelers who are helping to the goal directly or indirectly. Rishav Adhikari aka Shutter Psycho is one of those avid travelers. He travels and shares his followers on his social media about the stories of his exploration to the secrets of Nepal. He introduces himself as someone who is traveling somewhere all the time. During a chat with MyCity, he shared his experiences and thoughts about his adventure:

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Nepal is a paradise when it comes to adventure travel. We have eight out of 14 tallest mountains in the world as well as the most exciting trekking trails including the Annapurna Circuit, Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Base Camp etc., to name a few. And every year, thousands of people ranging from first-timers to professionals come to these places to climb the mountains or trek around it. Places like these have enjoyed their fair share of visitors marveling at their natural beauty.

Nepal really is a paradise for all sorts of travelers, not just for adventure seekers and nature lovers but also for the story lovers. From the plains to the mountains, destinations in Nepal possess religious and local narratives.

Pumori is a stunning peak in the Everest region which you can view while trekking in the Everest Base Camp. On our hike to Pumori, towards the east lay the gigantic Khumbu icefall straddled by the magnificent Nuptse and Everest West Shoulder and directly beneath the west lay the treacherous shape-shifting mass of ice, scree, and rocks upon which the Everest Base Camp was set up.

Tourism in Nepal is synonymous with Pokhara. However, this time it is not Pokhara, but Baglung that we are talking about. We had our eyes on Balewa, where the local airport had just come into operation after 28 years. We wanted to see for ourselves the untouched natural beauty and explore the hidden tourism treasure in Baglung and here’s what Baglung offered on a recent trip.

Though Nepal occupies only a minute space within Asia, its geographical diversity provides an ample of adventure possibilities.  The world recognizes Nepal for its vast array of natural resources, wildlife, flora and faunas, and the majestic snowcapped mountain-tops. POKHARA, May 9: Due to its adventure landscape, Pokhara is gradually being recognized as an adventure tourist hub of the country. Adventure sports including rafting, paragliding, wall climbing, and trekking are popular among tourists.

Dhankuta Municipality is introducing a package of paragliding and rafting to promote adventure tourism in the district. The paragliding route starts from Chuliban that lies in Ward 9 of Dhankuta Municipality and ends on the bank of Tamor River. After landing, the participants can go for a five-kilometer-long rafting on the river.

POKHARA, March 9: The Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) is primarily known for trekking -- a popular adventure activity for tourists.

Everything we do in our teenage, the golden time of our life, may be mischievous, innocent, wrong-deeds, dubious and unsound, but those are the adventures which lead us towards the path of maturity. DUBLIN, Oct 25: Fair City star Amy O’Dwyer is jetting off to Nepal on Saturday to take on the Mount Everest base camp challenge, and she said her co-stars were shocked when they heard the news first.

Our goal has remained the same; to get more youths into adventure sports, provide a platform for emerging talents and to promote the outdoor culture with the hopes that as more youth get involved, they will take care of the area they ride, rock and camp.
