High court upholds district court’s decision in acid survivor Aarti Shah case

KATHMANDU, March 23: In the case of acid survivor Aarti Sah, the Janakpur High Court has upheld the district court's decision. The high court has upheld the decision of the district court that Sanjiv Shah of Sabaila Municipality-6 Makhanaha of Dhanusha should be imprisoned for 10 and a half years and pay Rs 600,000 in compensation to his wife Aarti for attacking her with acid.
