KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Sitting lawmakers as well as experts in the field of public service have said that lack of effective inter-ministerial coordination was severely affecting public service delivery and accountability in Nepal.
KATHMANDU, May 8 :Nepal has been placed at the 65th position among 117 countries in terms of budget transparency and accountability, according to the Open Budget Survey (OBS) released on Wednesday. The survey conducted by International Budget Partnership (IBP) shows that Nepal is not publishing enough materials to support informed public debate on the budget.

KATHMANDU, Nov 25: Since last year, the Public Service Commission has added a course on ethics, public accountability and professionalism in public sector management. Candidates competing for the post of Joint Secretary and above in the Commission’s examination will have to sit for an exam in “Public Accountability, Ethics and Professionalism in Public Sector Management”.
KATHMANDU, July 12 : The Office of the Auditor General (OAG) has said that it will name the head of a public office, who has financial arrears and is involved in other financial indiscipline, in its next annual report. It will audit all public spending of the current fiscal year and make public the report by mid-April.
