Infertility is one of the neglected public health issues around the world. Infertility is defined as the inability of establishing a pregnancy after trying to conceive for at least six months or one year by having normal sexual intercourse without contraceptives.

KATHMANDU, April 5: With the confirmation of the first locally transmitted COVID-19 case in Nepal, epidemiologists have warned that the case is a sign of possible outbreak of the deadly disease in the country. Alarmed by the latest report, they have urged the government to focus on “TEST” as recommended by the World Health Organisation to contain the disease.

By all means, we are living through the most dangerous times in history since the World War II. Countries are being ravaged by the disease, economies are falling apart, people are dying.  Even the countries with supposedly the best health systems—America, Germany, France, UK, for example— are failing to save their citizens. Italy alone lost over 700 people on Sunday. The world is in panic. In Nepal, we do not have resources needed to put things in place.  Despite this, the government has taken some of the measures to keep the country and people safe from the contagion of the pandemic.

GENEVA, Jan 24: Cases of the new coronavirus are likely to continue to rise in China and it is too soon to evaluate its severity, a spokesman for the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Friday.
