MUGU, June 17: There is an acute water crisis in several towns and villages of Mugu district. Locals of Bhamwada, Karkiwada, Kotila, Ghattakhel, Jhakot, Ryangchyakati, Lums, Kamfa, Ghat, and Runga, among other areas are struggling with the acute water shortage.

BHAKTAPUR, March 2: Jhaukhel of Bhaktapur is so much rich in water resources that it caters to the needs of the locals of several areas of the Kathmandu Valley. Water tankers are seen collecting water from the sources from morning till late night. However, in the lack proper channeling of water, locals of Jhaukhel themselves have been facing water woes for years.

RUKUM, Sept 7: Chaurjahari municipality located in West Rukum is taken as one of the 10 model cities across the nation. But the very model city has been hit hard by a growing shortage of drinking water. With this situation in place, locals have no way to pay auto rickshaw and private vehicles to fetch waters from the Thulo Bheri River and transport to their homes, local Leelawati Rana said.
