KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The government has prepared the 'Nepal tourism decade (2023-2032) strategic action plan' as part of the revival of the tourism sector.

The government has decided to mark the period from 2023 to 2033 as the Visit Nepal Decade (VND). While the short-term goal of the VND is to revive the country’s tourism sector which was battered by the Covid-19 pandemic for two consecutive years, the long-term goal is to take the Nepali tourism to newer heights, including establishing Nepal as a leading destination in the global tourism market.

KATHMANDU, Dec 23: The government has prepared the Strategic Action Plan for Visit Nepal Decade (2023-2032) with a target to bring in 3.5 million tourists and create 1 million additional jobs in the country’s tourism industry.

KATHMANDU, Oct 4: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, attended a special event in Ottawa, Canada on October 2. The event was jointly organized by the Embassy of Nepal and Nepalese Canadian Association of Ottawa (NCAO) on the occasion of Bada Dashain.

KATHMANDU, Sept 25: The government has decided to observe the 'Visit Nepal Decade' for stimulating the tourism sector.

The government has announced that the foreign films which will be shot in Nepal from the year 2023 to 2033 will be given exemption on different taxes and fees. The government on July 24 declared the decade from 2023 to 2033 to be celebrated as the Visit Nepal Decade.
