KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Transport entrepreneurs have announced their plans to resume the operation of long-distance public transport service from into operation September 17 even as the government has not made any decision to lift the restriction.

BANEPA, June 2: The transport committees of Kavre district which were registered under Associations Registration Act 2034 BS (1977) have been registered under company registration act. The Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs Association had given a deadline of Saturday, June 1, to all the transportation committees to register as companies.

As per the agreement reached with the Government, the Federation has urged its erstwhile members to get themselves registered under the Company Registration Act.

Transport entrepreneurs agreed to do so after the Department of Transport Management (DoTM) agreed to address their demands of revising transport fares and unfreezing their bank accounts.
